This LATE PAYMENT DISPUTE LETTER is a written request to a credit bureau, disputing a late payment that has been reported on the credit report. The letter must be written within 30 days of receiving the credit report, as required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

The letter should include the reason for the dispute, the details of the late payment, and any supporting documents. The credit bureau has 30 days to investigate the dispute and provide a written response. If the dispute is found to be valid, the late payment should be removed from the credit report, and a corrected report should be sent to the consumer.
